Terms ofService
Last updated: August 24, 2026
These Terms cover use of this website. If you have signed a FieldNote services agreement, that agreement governs the service itself and controls if the two ever conflict.
FieldNote is operated by Elliott Bland and Doyle McNeela ("FieldNote," "we," "us").
What we do
FieldNote sends payment, quote, and lien follow-up reminders to a business's customers on that business's behalf. Service terms — pricing, cancellation, and data handling — are set out in the services agreement signed at signup.
Using this site
You may use this site to learn about FieldNote and to request service. You may not use it to break the law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape it at scale, or misrepresent who you are.
Information you submit
If you submit the "Get started" form, you are asking us to contact you about the service. We handle that information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit anyone else's personal information through the form.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site or in the service is legal, tax, accounting, or debt-collection advice. FieldNote is not a debt collector, a collection agency, or a law firm. Reminder wording that references liens or other legal remedies is chosen by the client, and the client is responsible for its accuracy and legality. Consult your own attorney about lien rights and notice requirements in your state.
No guarantee of results
Any figures, examples, or case studies describe past results for particular customers. They are not a promise or guarantee of results. Whether an invoice gets paid depends on many factors outside our control.
Our content
The FieldNote name, logo, site content, and software are ours and are protected by intellectual-property law. Please do not copy, modify, or reuse them without written permission.
Availability
We aim to keep the site and service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may change or discontinue features. We are not responsible for outages caused by third parties, including hosting providers, email providers, or a recipient's mail server rejecting or blocking a message.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
This site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FieldNote is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of this site. For customers with a signed services agreement, the liability limit in that agreement applies to the service.
Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
